Threads PDO (Polydioxanone)
The thread-lifts are a revolutionary new technique of non-surgical facelift, developed in order to tighten the skin making tissues firm. Bonome Clinique studies each case and determines the amount, type and most suitable threads to be used, depending on the degree of sagging tissue and skin characteristics of the patient.
Placing multiple PDO threads meshed or network shaped, generates stimulation of collagen production and helps to produce a natural tightening effect of the skin by supporting the tissue and improving skin sagging. These threads are called Polydioxanone were used in heart surgery several years ago and are absorbable. Placement causes an inflammatory response to tissue generating the production of new collagen, which helps densify the skin and generate the lifting effect. It is a simple and quick procedure (20-30 minutes) that requires only a topical anaesthetic cream in some cases. The effect is seen after a month and is consolidated in three months from placement. Duration of the effect is maintained between 12 and 18 months.
