Thread lifts are a very good alternative to correcting a sagging body, as they tighten and make the skin firm. Bonome Clinique studies each case in order to determine the number of threads to insert, as well as the most appropriate types, depending on the degree of sagging tissues.
PDO threads (Polydioxanone) – Placing meshed or network shaped multiple PDO threads generates stimulation of collagen production and helps to produce a natural tightening effect of the skin; it supports the tissue and improves skin sagging.
These threads are made of a Polydioxanone, an absorbable substance used in heart surgery; its multifilament composition is the main characteristic. Placement causes an inflammatory response to the tissues that generates the production of new collagen; this helps to densify the skin and generate the lifting effect. It is a simple and quick procedure (20-30 minutes) that only requires application of topical anaesthetic cream in some cases. Effects are seen after a month and are consolidated in three months from placement. They last from 12 and 18 months.
