Scars can be produced in many ways, be located anywhere in the body, and present a variety of irregularities in colour and texture.
While no scar can be completely removed, the surgeon can improve the appearance by making it less visible, either by infiltration of appropriate substances or performing specific surgical practices.
Correction of scars significantly improves the appearance of scar tissue. This tissue can be removed by resection, i.e. covered by regeneration of new tissue in the surrounding skin, and therefore causing scar removal. If they are small they can be treated with laser scar removal, while on larger areas other techniques remove the scar tissue, free the edges, which are unified, and suture them back so as to leave an imperceptible line.
