F.U.S.S – strip technique or classic hair microimplant with dissection of follicular units under a microscope. This technique involves the removal of a section of the scalp with its corresponding hair follicles from the back of the head, causing a wound that needs to be sutured, and that heals posteriorly in an almost imperceptible way. The main disadvantage is the scar at the back, although it is hardly noticed in most cases, it can be seen only when the patient has very short hair or has shaved it. Recently, the AESTHETIC TRICHOPHYTIC SUTURE being adopted prepares the skin surrounding the wound, so that the residual scar only turns into a thin line, which is virtually invisible with hair regrowth. The healing process is quick and after a period ranging from 7 to 10 days the stitches are removed.
The technique is carried out in about 4-5 hours under local anaesthesia. The patient goes home the same day but it is convenient for him to stay home and rest for about 3-4 days before returning to work.
